Hello-
I was looking at the link to the Northern Star Council website with information on the Fort Snelling Historic Trail, Trail of the North Star, and Lark of the Monarch.  http://www.northernstarbsa.org/AdvancementAwards/CubScout/OtherAwards.aspx

Has anyone done these trails?  I was wondering if I could just plan a day and do a trail or if there is something I should go and check out prior to bringing the boys along?

Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks

The Lark of the Monarch and the Wood Duck can both easily be done in a couple of hours - an afternoon or evening.

The Fort Snelling Historic Trail is longer, and I would suggest doing it in two days:  one for the hike and one at the fort.

The Trail of the North Star (Le'toil..) I have not done this one, but it looks like it might be a full one day event.

Good Luck!!!

Thanks!  I think we will be heading to a few of these when school is out!
